Final illustrations

This is a collection of some finished illustrations that i did to help along my illustration work. i created these by using the photos from my earlier photo shoot and photoshop. i think the overall outcome is a collective elegant set of illustrations and with a little more work could be really in keeping with my style.

Traditional collage

I have also done some traditional collage with different coloured card in my sketchbook to show and experiment with different shape and ways to translate those ideas and shapes into garments later on. i have taken some pictures of my sketchbook to show the type of collage.

Illustration experimentation

With my previous photo shoot images i have started to experiment with them to create my own illustrations. i think overall they have worked really well and show a true progression. here are a few examples.

I have done a photo shoot to help me along with my illustrations. here are just a couple of original photos that i will later experiment and begin to develop into my own illustrations.

Using my initial research and my in-depth research into my chosen theme of 1930's hollywood glamour i have put together some collage to develop different silhouettes and shape ideas.

As i am looking into the 1930's for inspiration for my collection. i have chosen to look into other designers and previous collections that have also found inspiration from this iconic era. The designer collection i found to have gone with this theme the most is the 2008/2009 fall RTW collection John Galliano. http://www.style.com/fashionshows/complete/F2008RTW-JNGALLNO - this is where you can find the collection.

After researching into old hollywood musicals from the 20's-50s i have decided to focus on the 30's and start to look into art deco and the era of the 1930's. Here are a few images of art deco buildings from my sketchbook that i have looked into fro further inspiration.

Reebok Revelation !!!

The new trainers from Reebok are becoming a quick favourite among sports enthusiasts and celebrities. coming in a range of different colours and said to tone your legs and bums faster it is no wonder a host of celeb's are getting into fitness mode. Including our favourite Kardashian. With summer coming up and those bikini body's coming out what a better way to get started. Who knew sportswear could be so fashionable!!!

Fringe Benefits!!!

This seasons fringe is heading in the country and western path. This western look is going to be massive this summer and slides into the bohemian and hippy category that is always popular when summer arrives. This particular bag i found on ASOS , in this tan fabric with stud decoration it is a big fashion winner and comes in at a very reasonable £60. Hello my new summer handbag!!!

Cover Girl !!!

Victoria Beckham graces another cover of the prestige fashion magazine Vogue. This cover is from the April issue of German Vogue. victoria has now been on the cover of Vogue India, Vogue Russia and British Vogue. The style icon features in the magazine explaining her perfect pair of jeans to wear. Get your German dictionaries out girls these are important notes to be talking. If there is one thing this cover girl knows its fashion!!!

This Week's Lust Have!!!

These Kurt Geiger shoes are show stopping and so on trend combining the colour of the season (nude's) the shape of the season ( a chunky wedge and heel) and fabulous flower statement. If Carrie Bradshaw is wearing these in the new Sex And The City movie i would not be surprised. at £260 they are purchase for pay day :) Love Love Love them !!!

The Garden Collection !!!

If this doesn't scream summer i don't know what does. The limited range from H&M has me dreaming of summer BBQ's and holiday trips away. This collection is filled with bold prints and environmentally friendly fabrics in the form of organic fabrics. This collection is perfect for summer and perfect for your purse and you will also feel great about helping the planet- Its a win-win situation so get shopping :)

Pixie Lotts Lipsy summer range!!!

Pixie Lott the pop sensation is hitting high streets with her first fashion collaboration with Lipsy for a super hot summer collection. Pixie Lott plus summer = music festivals which is the inspiration for this summer range. With cute little festival frocks to hippy maxi dresses this collection has something for everybody. Get ready for the long awaited make up range from Topshop. This has been talked about in fashion circles for months now and it is now official. Topshop's Lizzie Dawson (who also does topshops blouses) is designing this fabulous fresh range.
